Ekiti APC Sets Bold Target: 95% Votes, Eyes Historic Victory for Gov. Oyebanji

As Ekiti State gears up for the June 20 elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has set a bold target of securing at least 95% of total votes across the state.

The party, through its recently concluded statewide tour, showcased a united front and reaffirmed Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s overwhelming popularity among the grassroots.

The APC Executive Committee (EXCO) crisscrossed all 16 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 22 Local Council Development Areas (LCDA), engaging party members, stakeholders, and the general public.

The message from the field was unmistakable, the people of Ekiti are confident in Gov. Oyebanji’s leadership and eager to reward his administration with a second term.

“We were greeted with enthusiasm and appreciation wherever we went,” said State Party Secretary Garba Arogundade. “The people of Ekiti State are happy with Gov. Oyebanji's governance, and they’re eager to see him continue.”

The tour highlighted the administration’s commitment to youth and women empowerment, with many residents expressing gratitude for the opportunities created under Gov. Oyebanji’s leadership. The APC’s strong grassroots presence and focus on service delivery resonated widely, leaving no doubt about the party’s readiness to deliver a decisive mandate.

While celebrating these achievements, the EXCO also emphasized the importance of increased public sensitization, membership canvassing, and ensuring voters are properly registered, particularly with their National Identification Numbers (NIN) and Voter Identification Numbers (VIN).

With the inauguration of its statewide campaign council, the APC is set to roll out a structured campaign strategy that goes beyond jamboree-style rallies, focusing instead on intra-unit, intra-ward, and intra-LGA engagements to consolidate support.

According to the party, APC is aiming to secure a minimum of 95% of total votes across the state, reflecting confidence in the popularity of Gov. Oyebanji and the party’s grassroots strength.

The APC extended an invitation to undecided residents to join the winning team before the elections, as momentum clearly favors Governor Oyebanji’s continued leadership.
